A Galician PP deputy votes in favor of co-official languages in Congress by mistake

The Regulation that regularizes the use of co-official languages both in debates and in parliamentary initiatives in the Congress of Deputies is now a reality thanks to the favorable votes of SOE, Sumar, ERC, Bildu, PNV, BNG, Junts, Coalition Canaria... and a Galician PP deputy, Rosa María Quintana.

The popular one, elected by Ourense, has voted in favor of the measure by mistake, thus specifically contravening the meaning of the vote of her entire parliamentary group.

His mistake, however, has not been decisive in carrying out the new regulation, as was the mistake of the also popular Alberto Casero, whose mistake was key to saving the labor reform promoted by the Government of Pedro Sánchez in February 2022.

The votes against the change in the lower house have been those of the PP, Vox and UPN. The rest of the chamber has supported the text, which has passed with 180 votes, four above the absolute majority required. There have been no abstentions.
