A fugitive accused of torturing two people with lighters and drills arrested in Alicante

Agents of the National Police have arrested a fugitive in Alicante, described as "dangerous", who was wanted by the German authorities for allegedly torturing two people in that country, one of them a minor, and on whom an order was issued. European arrest and surrender. The fugitive was allegedly a member of a criminal network dedicated to drug trafficking, known for using "extreme violence" to obtain information or for carrying out "turnarounds" to other criminal organizations.

The events for which he was wanted occurred in April 2022 when, along with other members of the criminal network, he allegedly tortured two people, causing burns with lighters and wounds with a drill bit to obtain information about several of them. members of a rival organization, as reported by the Police in a statement. Through the Sirene Office, and after arduous police efforts, the agents managed to locate him on a beach in Dénia.

In April 2022, this man was in the German city of Brandenburg along with other members of the same organization, supposedly dedicated to drug trafficking and carrying out "overturns" to other criminal networks.

After arranging, through a third person, a telephone appointment with the victim - a minor at the time - they met her at a local playground. When she arrived, they allegedly surrounded her and forced her to hand over her cell phone and get into a car.

From there they took her to a floor controlled by members of the organization, where they allegedly severely tortured her in order to extract information from her about several members of a rival organization.

The torture consisted of burns with lighters and cigarettes, injuries to the fingers with pipe wrenches, and wounds to the thigh caused by a drill bit. Given the victim's refusal to provide information, the alleged perpetrators of the events used her mobile phone and, posing as her, contacted one of her targets.

According to the Police, they again forced her, again with violence, to guide them to that person's home and to knock on her door to get her to open, a moment that they took advantage of to enter the house. There, and supposedly using the same torture, she demanded a quantity of MDMA that she, at that time, did not have.

For this reason, they transferred the two victims to the safe house where, after torturing them with "extreme violence", they obtained the payment of a significant amount of money.

The alleged perpetrator of the events faced a sentence that could reach up to 15 years in prison, which is why he fled Germany. Through the Sirene Office, and thanks to the police investigations carried out, at the end of last August the agents managed to locate him.

He was in a beach area in Dénia, aboard a vehicle, and a short time later he was detained in the parking lot of a commercial establishment.
