A fire declared in a chemical products company in the Valencian municipality of Potries has forced the evacuation and confinement of several nearby buildings for prevention and the cutting of the CV-680 highway in several sections, as reported by the Valencia Provincial Fire Consortium and the '112 HP'.
The notice was received shortly before 8:30 p.m. and a dozen fire crews from the Gandia, Oliva, Alzira, Ontinyent and Catarroja parks and three command units, specifically sergeant, sector chief and official.
The evolution of the flames has forced the troops to evacuate and establish preventive confinement of buildings near the fire area as a "precaution", the Generalitat's Emergency Coordination Center (CCE) has indicated.
In addition, the Civil Guard has closed several sections of the CV-680 highway to traffic, adds the '112 CV'.
