A cyclist died this Thursday at noon in an accident on the C-230a road, in the municipality of Sudanell (Segrià).
Specifically, the accident occurred at 12:45 p.m. at kilometer point 9, where, for reasons that the Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating, the man would have hit an iron that was protruding from a protective railing of a bridge.
The cyclist, a 63-year-old retired firefighter from Lleida, was treated at the scene by the emergency services, who could do nothing to save his life.
