A minor under the age of 16 died on the spot on Saturday night after being hit by a vehicle on the Carretera de Su Eminencia, in the capital Seville, as reported by the 112 Andalucía Emergency service.
The young man would have broken "in a fortuitous way" on the road, according to the first hypotheses considered by the team specialized in the investigation of road accidents of the Local Police of Seville.
This was indicated by Moises Venegas Navarro, deputy inspector of the Seville Local Police, specifying that "although the investigation is open, it is initially presumed that the pedestrian broke in for reasons that are still unknown and died as a result of the impact."
For their part, from Sevilla Emergencies they have indicated that the driver of the tourism is a 19-year-old young man who has tested negative for alcohol and drugs.
Witnesses to the accident alerted Telephone 112 around 00:30 hours of the event, which occurred at the height of the railway tunnel. They indicated that a boy had been run over, for whom they requested urgent health care.
Quickly, from the coordinating room, the 061 Health Emergency Center, the Local Police and the Cecop were activated.
The emergency services dispatched to the scene could not do anything to save the life of the victim, who died on the spot.
A team specializing in the investigation of road accidents has taken charge of the case to clarify the circumstances surrounding the accident.
Traffic was kept closed until the completion of the procedure to remove the body by the Judicial Commission and the field work of the police investigation.
