The Civil Guard has arrested a 50-year-old man who was carrying 49.2 kg of hashish hidden under the car seat.
The agents intercepted him on Sunday on the AP-7 in La Jonquera, in Alt Empordà (Girona) when the vehicle with French license plates was traveling towards France.
The police arrested him for a crime against public health. The detainee and the seized drugs have been made available to the Figueres guard court.
