7 wines to tour the wine-growing areas with the best village festivals in Spain

If you are enjoying a few days of rest and festivals in the inland towns, these wines would be a very good option for this holiday season.

Explosion of fruit in the mouth dominated by raspberries, cherries and plum jam. It also offers us notes of coffee with milk, smoked, sweet spices and minerals. The palate is crunchy, silky, fresh and very fruity, pure balance on the palate. It came absolutely from a town or rather a village and its vineyards are located in the Jamuz Valley. It remained 14 months in large oak barrels.

Ribereño wine made with great care and completely handmade. Its nose is full of fruity nuances. The blackberry, black plum, blueberries, strawberries and cherry stand out. Floral notes such as violet and sweet spices such as cinnamon are also appreciated. The palate is very sweet, with a silky sensation along the way and fresh.

It is a red with little color that can be confused with a claret and, in any case, a different, interesting and very juicy wine. Its blend of grapes comes from a vineyard where both coexist mixed. Wide range of aromas on the nose and especially red fruits, caramel, citrus, balsamic and herbal notes. In the mouth it is light, with good acidity and friendly as a whole. It has spent 10 months in large oak vats.

In Campo de Calatrava we find these Cencibel vineyards located in the Finca Montachuelos and on volcanic soil. Its color is cherry medium layer. In aromas it is loaded with fruits of the forest, strawberries, currants and ripe blackberries. In the mouth, its polished tannins are remarkable, with an earthy sensation on the finish and aromas of wet earth. Tasty, fresh and easy-drinking wine for those who opt for a red.

It is a very original red wine made from a very particular grape that offers a very special profile. It has many aromatic nuances such as wild fruits, aromatic herbs, menthol and mineral notes. Its mouth is fresh and its fruit very juicy. Its vineyards are developed at high altitude and its production is guarded by Juan Muñoz and Vicente Inat, trying to express the essence of the Axarquía of Malagueña.

I tried this wine on my rural vacation days and I found it very interesting and innovative. They have tried to recover somewhat ignored autochthonous varieties, at altitude, on granitic and slate soils. Its aging has been in French oak of 500 liters. It expresses itself very aromatic with dominance of white and citrus fruit, white flowers and hints of sweet spices. On the palate it is kind on the palate and fresh. At its end, smoky notes are perceived.

Fresh and citric, would be the summary of this white wine that comes from Priorat. Hints of ripe white fruit, grapefruit, lime and lemon would be the best descriptors. On the palate it is somewhat smoky, enveloping and with a pleasant and slightly warm finish. Its passage through French oak for 6 months subtly adds to it.
