Sergio Ramírez's proclamation at the Lope de Vega House Museum will begin on Friday the 6th with a total of ten activities whose highlight will arrive on Saturday, October 14 with the concert of the Colombian singer Carlos Vives and friends at the Puerta de Alcalá.

The emblematic Plaza Mayor of Madrid will host the concerts of RaiNao, Cupido, Tequila and Delaporte, while the Plaza de Remonta will host the concert of the Cuban band Havana D'Primera and the Dominican Vicente García, winner of three Latin Grammy awards.

In its proposal, Hispanidad 2023 includes 165 activities, mostly free of charge, such as concerts, plays, exhibitions, literary events, parades and gastronomic days that will be distributed in more than 50 spaces, streets and stages, all run by more than 700 artists from 17 nationalities, as well as Spanish companies, according to the organization.

On Saturday, October 7, the musical program will begin in Parque del Oeste, where the start of the Madblue Festival from Madrid to the Oceans will take place, with two stages full of music with artists such as Love of Lesbian, Tu Otra Bonita and many more.

This music festival also continues on Sunday the 8th with performances by bands such as Arde Bogotá - recently nominated for two Latin Grammy awards - or Miss Cafeína. During the following days, different spaces in the capital such as the Plaza de España, the Plaza de Callao and Matadero Madrid will host concerts such as that of the Panamanian Lorna (the 12th at 5:30 p.m.), known for songs such as 'Papi Chulo... That same day, in the Plaza de Oriente, at 8:00 p.m., the show 'Ckuri, cleaners of towns', by La Huella Teatro, will take place, which can be seen the next day in Puerta del Sol, at the same time.

Likewise, the City Council will hold a pyromusical show in the Plaza de Cibeles at 9:30 p.m. and will illuminate the fountain and the palace with the colors of the Spanish flag.

Finally, the family audience will have their own space with the Circo Frikis, the performance of the folkloric ballet Inti Killa, from Ecuador, and the grand finale of the circus by Brucaa Circus in the Santander Park, where they will be able to see fireworks from the hand of Calacas-Estranya Cia.

In parallel to the activity scheduled in the Madrid region, on October 12 in the city of Seville the concert by Grupo Bonyé, from the Dominican Republic, and the performance of the Dominican Ballet in Europe will take place.

After Delaporte's concert on Friday the 13th in the Plaza Mayor, the star performance will be held on Saturday, October 14 with the concert of Carlos Vives and friends in the Puerta de Alcalá, with free entry for all audiences.

That same Saturday, in the Plaza Mayor, the Puerto Rican RaiNao will appear for the first time in Spain. The cultural events on Sunday, October 15, will close Hispanidad 2023 with concerts by Elvin Vivencias, Guada, Carlos Talez, La societé ensamble and Ruby Palomino, in different spaces such as Matadero, Museo Cerralbo or Plaza de Callao.

The Surge Madrid performing arts festival will incorporate specific Latin American programming from October 6 to 15 with a special window to the state of Jalisco.

The Mexican Luis de Tavira, from the Teatro de la Abadía, will perform the monologue 'Krapp's last film' and, likewise, the Los Colochos company will take the play 'Reina' to the Green Room of the Teatros del Canal, where on Friday 13 at 7:45 p.m. the Peruvian Susana Baca.
