Valencia, Seville and Villarreal condemn "serious contempt" by Rubiales

Valencia, Villarreal and Sevilla issued a joint statement on Tuesday in which they express their "condemnation" for what they understand to be "serious contempt" from Luis Rubiales in a 'whatsapp' conversation attributed to the president of the Royal Spanish Federation of Soccer, Luis Rubiales, and his father and published by El Confidencial.

In the captures published by the aforementioned media, Rubiales refers to "these basins" in reference to Sevilla and ensures that they are the second team that he likes the worst. "In this order Villarreal, Seville and Valencia," he adds.

The statement speaks of "alleged statements" but points out that "the conversations in which he speaks with such insult, animosity and arrogance towards the three institutions are unacceptable coming from a person who holds a position of such responsibility and who must equally watch over the interests of all Spanish football clubs".

The three clubs "condemn Luis Rubiales' snub and lack of respect" towards the entities and "the sentiment" of his fans, but they also ask for a rectification and a public apology.

In addition, Valencia, Villarreal and Sevilla show their "maximum concern" for the "possible consequences" that the attitude of the president of the Federation "towards our clubs" may entail, given that they understand that "his behavior does not contribute to the transparency of the competition ".
