A US fighter jet shoots down a third "object" over Canadian airspace

A US Air Force F-22 fighter jet shot down a third unidentified "object" detected in North American airspace this Saturday, this time over Canadian skies.

The fighter fired at the object and shot it down by order of the Prime Minister of that country, Justin Trudeau. It was a joint maneuver with the US through the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), which is operated by Washington and Ottawa.

It is the third device to appear and be shot down over US territory in the period of a week, after the Pentagon shot down the Chinese "spy balloon" that appeared the previous Saturday on February 4 and last Friday another F- 22 to shoot down a much smaller "object," "the size of a car," this one discovered Thursday over Alaska.

Trudeau said that he had spoken with Biden this same Saturday afternoon to coordinate the operation. “Canadian forces will now recover and analyze the remains of the object,” he wrote on his Twitter account, adding: “Thank you to NORAD for watching over North America.”

The operation was carried out over the Yukon Territory, in Northwestern Canada. Several fighters from this nation and the US participated and, as in the two previous cases, it was an F-22 that fired a missile and knocked down the "object" with a missile.
