Spain already knows the 26 players who will be in Qatar to fight to win their second World Cup. Despite not being one of the great favorites, those selected by Luis Enrique Martínez are excited and hopeful in this selection.
Some of them have already expressed themselves on social networks or through their clubs in the hours after the call. One of those who shared his joy is Ansu Fati. The Barça striker is one of the surprises on the list; not for the quality of it, but for not being in full physical condition. "Enormous pride in representing the Spanish team in the World Cup. More than a dream! Let's go!" He wrote on his Instagram account. Another blaugrana (club with more representatives) like Sergio Busquets and captain of the red team shared the list in a story and wrote: "let's go team".
"I am very happy. It is the dream of every player to play a World Cup and I have achieved it. "I hope to be able to give many things to the team and continue working so that the great moments come", Nico Williams commented in a statement collected by the media of the AthleticClub.
For his part, the PSG player, Carlos Soler, was proud to be one of the 26 in statements to the EFE agency. "Today is a very special day for me. Being able to play in a World Cup is one of the most beautiful things a footballer can experience and I am very excited that they have considered that I have merited it. The captain of Valencia, José Luis Gayà, was very satisfied despite the fact that his call-up was in danger by missing the first four league games due to suspension. “I feel maximum joy. Gayà followed Luis Enrique's announcement from the sports city of Paterna accompanied by Hugo Guillamón, who has also been summoned, and colleagues such as Jaume Doménech or Cenk Özkacar who were the first to congratulate them.
