Feijóo urges Sánchez to withdraw the budgets for more realistic ones

The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, this Sunday urged the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, to withdraw the draft budget for 2023 and present another "more realistic" one. If he had "a minimal sense of state" he would do it, Feijóo said, citing the different organizations that, according to the popular leader, have disavowed the numbers, including the Bank of Spain and the Monetary Fund.

At the closing of the 13th Congress of the PP in Lleida, the popular leader expressed his surprise at the fact that Sánchez's executive "continues to talk about unauthorized budgets by all the independent organizations in Spain and by other international organizations", which triggers the debt and that only serves to satisfy the government partners "with the sole objective of perpetuating themselves in office".

"Living from posturing is easier than living from public accounts. We come to talk about accounts and the Government to continue living on stories" said Feijóo to the applause of the attendees, to whom he acknowledged, however, that the PP does not have it easy in Catalonia and that the results have not been good for years.

"We are a humble party, and it is humble to recognize that when you do not have the results that we would like to have, we do not blame anyone. Sometimes we do not interpret what the citizens ask of us, sometimes we do not know how to explain ourselves better. It is tempting to look for external elements at the what", has recognized the popular leader, who however has assured that they are willing to fight: "Nobody who has joined the PP of Lleida or Catalonia looking for comfort; for this they would have joined the PSC or any independence party".

In today's act, Núñez Feijóo was accompanied by the president of the Catalan PP, Alejandro Fernández, and by the leader of the popular party in Lleida, Xavier Palau, in an act in which they have set their sights on the next municipal elections in May 2023.

An act that has been used to question some of the decisions of the executive. For example, the dismissal of the director of the CNI or that of the director of the National Statistics Institute, one "for fulfilling her duty"; the other "because the accounts did not come out." He has also criticized the fact that "a militant has been put in charge of the CIS", Félix Tezanos, to say "that the Government is doing well in the polls". "I do not understand, therefore, why Mr. Sánchez is so nervous," he ironized.

Towards the end of his speech, Feijó focused on Catalonia and assured that "we feel this land exactly the same as others feel it". "When a son says that he is the one who loves his father the most, the rest of the family should not consent to it. Because a father and a mother are loved by their children and no one in the family has the right to exclude a part of them. children against their parents.
