The Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, has participated this Sunday in a meeting with the President of the Generalitat Valenciana Ximo Puig in which the main issues on the Valencian agenda have been discussed. And one of them is the future SEAT-Volkswagen gigafactory in Sagunt, especially after learning this week that the German multinational could withdraw the project due to the slowness in the procedures related to the PERTE of the electric vehicle.
In this context, since Thursday there have been statements from members of the Executive regarding this project: first it was Vice President Teresa Ribera, then it was President Pedro Sánchez and this Sunday it was Bolaños, who participated in an event in Valencia of the PSPV-PSOE held in the Tres Forques neighborhood under the slogan "Social justice against inflation".
"Valencians know very well what a PP government means in terms of reputation, social cuts and tax increases," he asserted, noting that "in this latest crisis caused first by the pandemic and now by Putin's war , we have seen very clearly what the neoliberal path and the social democratic or progressive path do in the face of difficulties". A meeting in which Matthew Godlewski, Vice President of International Government Affairs of Ford Motor Company will also participate; Jesús Alonso, president and CEO of Ford Iberia and Dionisio Campos, manufacturing director of Ford Spain.
At the factory, the representatives of the brand will have the opportunity to share with the authorities the path to electrification that the factory has been implementing for years; its production capabilities and collaboration with suppliers, as well as showing them how the battery assembly plant works.
