Real Madrid suffered but reacted in time

The leader adds and follows. The whites defeated Sevilla at the Bernabeu in a match that Madrid had to win twice. It started well, but it was entering indolence with the passing of the minutes and Sevilla equalized ten minutes into the second half. At the moment when it seemed that Sevilla could take the three points, Ancelotti's changes boosted Madrid and with two blows in three minutes he sent the rival to the canvas. This is the punch of this team.

The defeat is the first for Sevilla de Sampaoli. Until now, with the new coach, the people from Seville had three draws and one victory. However, the Argentine's approach was not that of an overly ambitious team. He had a lot of casualties in defense, but he went to the Bernabeu without a striker and with Isco as his most advanced player.

In Madrid Ancelotti rotated little. He practically took out his gala eleven with the exception of Benzema, who fell in the morning of today's call when it was detected that he suffered from muscular fatigue. He will not play in Germany on Tuesday either and they are expected to play on Sunday at the Benabeu against Girona.

Benzema's position went to Rodrygo, something expected because the young Brazilian is sweet. The rest was as expected, with the announced return of Courtois under the sticks after six absent games.

The game started under a heavy downpour and Sevilla soon paid for their defensive fragility. After five minutes Montiel tried to dribble past Vinícius and lost the ball. Vinícius sped towards Bono and found a pass for Modric, who scored into an empty net.

Madrid finished six other times at Bono's door in the first half and the most dangerous was a free-kick by Alaba that went very close to the crossbar. Sevilla hardly created any danger although Lamela, after eleven minutes, asked for a penalty for an action by Carvajal, something that neither Hernández Hernandez nor the VAR conceded.

Madrid dominated the game, but lacked mordant and a little more decision to go after the rival, something that already happened in the last classic. All in all, he had two good chances to score the second before the break; the first from Modric, who after a cut could not even finish off, and already in minute 43 another from Vinícius, who stood up to Bono in the race and instead of shooting and finishing tried to dribble and lost the chance.

The second half started without changes and with a sleeping Madrid and the whites paid for it after 55 minutes in a play with the same protagonists as in the Madrid goal, but in the opposite area. Vinícius made a mistake when the ball came out against Montiel. The Whites' defense reacted late and Montiel's pass reached Lamela, who finished well against Courtois.

It radically changed the film of the party. Sevilla grew with the tie and went up. He had two chances: a shot from Isco that went to the side and another from Lamela who shot wide after another stolen ball from Montiel. Such errors were going to be lethal for Sevilla. Who forgives at the Bernabeu does not usually come out alive,

Ancelotti introduced a triple change and released Rüdiger, Asensio and Lucas Vázquez for Mendy, Modric and Tchouaméni. Five minutes later, in 79 Lucas Vázquez scored after a very twisted move by the Whites and an assist from Vinícius. In minute 81, Valverde sentenced with a whiplash of his own, a missile from outside the area, the Uruguayan's sixth goal in the League and the seventh of the season. There is now no player who hits the ball better from a distance than Real Madrid's box to box

There was no more story. Madrid had woken up in time and got a hard-fought victory that reaffirms them a little more in the leadership of the League.
