Nadal will play the Paris Masters and the ATP Finals

Rafa Nadal will return to the courts next week at the 1,000 Masters in Paris and then he will participate in the ATP Finals, as confirmed by his coach, Carlos Moyá, two competitions that the man from Manacori has never conquered.

Nadal has been suffering from various injuries this year, claiming his 14th Roland Garros title with the help of painkiller injections to deal with a chronic foot injury and withdrawing from Wimbledon due to an abdominal problem.

Following her loss to Frances Tiafoe at the US Open in September, she said she needed to "fix things" and wasn't sure when she would play again.

The Spaniard, who has won a men's record 22 Grand Slam titles, teamed with Roger Federer in a doubles match at the Laver Cup last month before withdrawing from the tournament. He also took time off for the birth of his first child with his wife Mery Perelló on October 8.

Moya confirmed that Nadal will use the Bercy Masters 1000 event, which the world number two has never won, as part of his preparation for the ATP final in Turin from November 13-20.

"Before arriving in Turin you have to play matches in Paris, which are similar," Moyá told IB3 TV. "Rafa is competitive wherever he is and we go with hope and enthusiasm".
