The fate of Fearless Girl

To the Editor:

Regardless of the various debates swirling around Fearless Girl, she strikes an emotional chord with me and perhaps countless other women who entered the Wall Street business community decades ago ("Fearless girl is an advertisement; the city should remove it," editorial, April 17).

Historically, Wall Street was very much a man’s world, with power and money at the core of its very existence. It is with true grit, determination and a passion for the industry that many women stayed the course. In my view, Fearless Girl symbolizes the strength to stand up to any challenge and should remain on its current site indefinitely.
