Electricity price: what is the cheapest time today, Sunday, October 30?

Consumers will have to be vigilant this Sunday, October 30. There will be times when putting on the washing machine, ironing or using the oven will be more advisable. Knowing which are the cheapest allows you to concentrate spending and save on the bill at the end of the month. The average reference for the whole day in the wholesale market will be 135.62 euros per megawatt hour, according to the operator Omie. Once again, hour by hour there will be big differences.

This morning the time change takes place, so at 03:00 in the morning it will be 02:00 again, with which there will be one more hour in the rate and instead of the usual 24 sections, there will be 25.

The wholesale market figures are reflected in the consumer's receipt. The most expensive hour will be between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., when the price on the bill will rise to 225.35 euros/MWh. euros per kilowatt hour (kWh), based on data from Red Eléctrica. The cheapest hour, on the other hand, will be recorded between 04:00 and 05:00, when the kilowatt hour will be paid at 98.50 euros.

This is the hourly cost of electricity for this Sunday at the regulated rate (PVPC, toll 2.0 TD), according to Red Eléctrica. These figures already include the cost of the daily and intraday wholesale market, adjustment services, financing, the cost of variable marketing, tolls and charges. It may also have other concepts such as payments for capacity, surpluses or deficits from renewable auctions and costs for interruptibility services.

This Sunday the price of electricity in Spain will be the highest in all of Europe, above countries such as France and Germany (116.6 euros), Italy (112.1 euros) or the United Kingdom (101 euros).

However, the average price since June 15, when the Iberian exception came into force, is notably lower in Spain (141.77 euros) than in France (360.77 euros), Italy (398.37 euros) or Germany (313.97).
