The law firm González Franco Abogados Penalistas has incorporated Javier Melero as a new partner. The firm now has its director and founder, José Ángel González Franco, as partners, along with María Pascual Guiteras and Celiza Díaz Morgado.

Javier Melero is a criminal lawyer with a special dedication to economic crimes. As a lawyer, he has intervened in the legal management of relevant cases, such as the defense of Javier de la Rosa and the Spanish executives of the KIO group against the Emirate of Kuwait, of the senior officials of the Tax Agency in Catalonia in cases of corruption, elite athletes, and in macro cases such as the Punic Operation (the corruption plot in the Community of Madrid), Tándem-Villarejo and Malaya (corruption and money laundering).

The Lawyer has been a professor of Criminal Law at Pompeu Fabra University, at the University of Barcelona and at the School of Legal Practice of the Barcelona Bar Association.
