The Diputació de Barcelona has drawn up a ranking with the ten most requested occupations in the province of Barcelona collected on the Xaloc offers website of the Diputació de Barcelona, ​​during the first half of the year. Specifically, in the Maresme administrative employees (9.26%), cleaning staff (6.42%) and waiters (5.75%) lead the most demanded professions.

If the Maresme region is analyzed, the list continues: shop and warehouse salespeople (5.53%), kitchen helpers (3.88%), workers who take care of people at home (3.29%), laborers of the freight transport (2.99%), hospital nursing assistants (2.32%), accounting employees (2.24%) and commercial agents and representatives (2.17%).

XaloCompetències is a resource for orientation by competencies that provides knowledge to people in the process of research or improvement of work on the occupations and competency profiles most in demand by companies in the province of Barcelona according to the Xaloc Offers Website of the Diputació de Barcelona . The Xaloc website, promoted by the Barcelona Provincial Council, manages more than 1,000 offers every day and received, last year, almost four million unique visitors and recorded 10.1 million page views. Currently 138 Local Employment Services use the Xaloc Telematics Platform (PTX), which cover 246 municipalities in the province of Barcelona.
