San Antonians hoping to add Selena commemorative cups to their cupboards were disappointed to find local Stripes Convenience Stores didn't have the latest memorabilia.
Stripes Spokesperson Jeamy Molina told mySA.com the five San Antonio stores "did not receive the cups as planned."
"We are truly sorry and we share in your disappointment," Molina added. "Because of overwhelming response from our guests, we do not have any extra cups to send to San Antonio."

The Dallas-based company worked with the beloved Tejano star's sister, Suzette Quintanilla, to create two cup designs in celebration of the third annual Fiesta de La Flor festival, which honors Selena's legacy every March, according to a news release.
Stores in Corpus Christi, the Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, San Antonio and select stores in Midland and Odessa were supposed to be stocked with the cups starting on Wednesday, according to the original news release.
Customers who took to Facebook said they went "to every place" in San Antonio, but came up empty-handed.
Molina said customers can keep up with the Stripes Facebook page starting Thursday and throughout coming weeks for a chance to win the cups through giveaways.

If you're willing to do "anything for Selenas," the cups are available in Corpus Christi, Houston, Laredo, Odessa, Midland and the Rio Grande Valley, according to the Stripes Facebook page.
Similar frustration was tied to the Selena M-A-C makeup line last October, which sold out in days.
"Due to the passion and overwhelming excitement from Selena's fans, currently #MACSelena is sold out on Maccosmetics.com," a notice on the website said. "We are working to restock the collection."
