The Minister of Transport, Raquel Sánchez, assured this midday from Barcelona that in the first half of this year Catalonia is the autonomous community where the most volume will have been invested in the Transport area, whether the compensation to Abertis is taken into account (around 1,000 million) as if not. The minister has not detailed the amount and she has only assured that the execution of this first semester is 40% higher. She has not detailed what the degree of execution will be.
Last year, the general intervention of the state (IGAE) ensured that the execution was 275.6 million euros, which represented 13.3% of the total budgeted. The 40% increase to which Sánchez refers is based on the calculation made by the ministry for the Transportation area and not the IGAE figure.
In a presentation at the Government delegation, Sánchez assured that the investment destined for Catalonia by his ministry is equivalent to 19.4% of all the communities. The figure is 2.98 billion. This is a higher figure than the one contemplated in the budgets in the regionalizable investment package that rises to 2,309 million.
