Adelante Andalucía has the firm intention of entering the Congress of Deputies after the next general elections so that an Andalusian voice can once again exist to defend the interests of the capital, something that has not happened since 2020. According to the leader of formation, Teresa Rodríguez, the party will go to the elections independently and autonomously and without being integrated into the 'Sumar' brand, the platform promoted by Yolanda Díaz. On the other hand, the Cadiz woman will not lead any candidacy, as sources from her environment assure.
Meanwhile, the current spokeswoman continues to put pressure on Madrid so that the needs of Andalusians are taken into account. On this occasion, it has found the formula to present, even without representation in the Lower House, more than 40 amendments to the General State Budgets (PGE) thanks to the "solidarity" of parties such as Compromís, BNG and the CUP "that they have given up their quota, their procedure” to be able to do so, he indicated.
“We understand that Andalusia has been underrepresented for a long time in the institutions that also determine its future”, such as the Congress and the Senate, “and we have found the channel to present amendments in Andalusian key to these PGE” just as “other towns do”. of the State who decide to have their own representation in Courts” defending “their legitimate interests”, Rodríguez has indicated.
The south is the largest delegation in the Cortes, with 61 deputies and 41 senators, however, when it comes to positioning themselves, they "give in to the imperative of their parties based in Madrid and not in accordance with the interests of the land that elects them” leaving in second place the needs of the region. For this reason, Adelante Andalucía has chosen to adopt this measure with which they intend to increase the economic investment for the community by 800 million euros. "Because we need it, because we systematically star in the toughest figures and because love in politics is declared with budgets," he explained.
The procedure they have followed, as Rodríguez has detailed to the media, is to register the amendments to the Andalusian deputies and give them a margin of time (until Friday) to assess the suitability of the proposals and register them themselves . Otherwise, they would resort to the procedure ceded by Compromís, BNG and the CUP, to register you.
Among them, Adelante Andalucía is committed to promoting railway infrastructure in the region, a change in the production model (with reindustrialization plans for the Linares region, in Jaén), the reduction of VAT on fresh products, the creation of specific employment plans (among which the commitment to rural women has stood out) or the recovery of the Doñana aquifers, among others. Specifically, the regional training wants to raise the investment for the region by 800 million euros.
With this step, the spokeswoman for Adelante, Teresa Rodríguez, and the leader of the formation and former senator Pilar González, announced the intention of the formation to stand for the next general elections, describing this procedure as the "prelude" for Andalusia to have Andalusian representation and "with its own accent" in the Congress of Deputies.
The party disassociates itself from Yolanda Díaz's 'Sumar' brand, although they do not rule out the possibility of reaching certain agreements to form a progressive government. Rodríguez explained that Adelante Andalucía is open to collaboration with other parties, but maintaining its differentiated and autonomous position. In this way, he has reported that they have supported United We Can initiatives despite sometimes having "a little conflictive" relations with the purple formation.
It is noteworthy that, according to the close circle of the Cadiz woman, the charismatic politician will not lead any candidacy for the Congress of Deputies next year.
