“Bulletproof Blended Learning Design” Now Available as an E-Book

Released_By: USANews PR Network
Date:        Thursday, September 20, 2007
Time:        11:31:12 PM

For_Immediate_Release:

Frank Troha’s book about how to design blended learning (typically an integration of traditional face-to-face learning with today’s e-learning technologies) has just been released in e-book format.

(New York, NY) Bulletproof Blended Learning Design: A Practical, Proven Guide for Corporate Learning & Development Management and Staff (Worldclass Publishing Press) is now available in e-book format. Written by Frank Troha, a long-time instructional design consultant and professor, the book presents his unique approach to achieving the optimal integration of traditional face-to-face learning with today’s e-learning technologies.

Troha's three-part blended learning design model has been endorsed by adult learning authorities and corporate practitioners, including renowned instructional design expert, Jerrold Kemp.

Central to the model is a detailed 12-step process for designing a blended learning course. Supporting the process are: a.) Recent research findings that can help answer questions that often arise during design, e.g., "What is the recommended ratio of self-study time to instructor-led learning time?", and b.) Special tips relating to project management and quality control, e.g., "Develop and confirm a precise, comprehensive set of selection criteria before interviewing external e-learning providers."

Together, the process, research findings and tips combine to provide a blended learning design model that Troha says, “…is an easy-to-follow formula for systematically managing a host of key issues that need to be addressed from the start, if the optimal ‘blend’ of learning activities for a given course is to be achieved within a reasonable time frame and within budget.”

The e-book can be purchased through the publisher’s vendor: http://www.wastelandpress.net/Bulletproof.html
