Relationship Guru’s New TV Talk Show
Released_By: USANews PR Network
For_Immediate_Release
Michael Baisden, nationally renowned relationship guru, best-selling author
and host of national syndicated TV talk show “Talk Or Walk”, is excited about
helping people through his new talk show, “It’s all about the choices people
make in life,” he says. “Talk or Walk” is the compelling and fast-paced new
reality series that combines the emotion of talk, the conflict of court shows
and the fascination of a relationship series. The one-hour, five-day-a-week
series from Tribune Entertainment in association with Emmy Award-winning Scott
Sternberg Productions premiered on September 17 and will tape before a studio
audience.
“Talk Or Walk” features people from all walks of life - married or dating
couples, parents and siblings, co-workers, neighbors, or friends - who have
reached an impasse and are at a turning point in their relationship. After
listening to both sides of the story, Baisden and the audience offer
insightful opinions as to whether reconciliation appears to be possible.
After the featured guests listen to Baisden’s opinion as well as views
representing the audience’s collective experience, they make a momentous
decision – to talk it out or simply walk away. In the three different
segments in the hour that are presented, intimate and unexpected details are
revealed with a dramatic resolution that wraps up their fascinating stories.
It is the resolution to each guests’ situations that distinguishes “Talk Or
Walk” from all other daytime programs.
In just eight years, Michael Baisden went from driving trains for the
ChicagoTransit Authority to becoming a popular author and one of the foremost
traveling speakers on relationships, to now becoming a television talk show
host. The Chicago native released his first book, Never Satisfied: How and Why
Men Cheat, in 1995. Not able to obtain a publishing company, Baisden borrowed
money and published the book himself. Within eight months, he sold more than
50,000 copies and was on the Essence and Emerge magazines’best seller lists. His
second book, this time a fictional story called Men Cry in the Dark, was also a
hit. He traveled the media circuit and made appearances on such TV shows as “The
Ricki Lake Show,” “The Sally Jesse Raphael Show,” “The Maury Povich Show” and
“The View.” By 1997, Baisden had a significant following and was in demand to
speak publicly to book clubs and at retail outlets. He started to promote his
own seminars entitled the “Love, Lust and Lies” tour.
The interest was so great from these tours that he produced a video with
excerpts and sold it through direct mail. He has traveled extensively throughout
the U.S. with these popular speaking tours on relationships. Baisden’s latest
best-seller is another fiction title, The Maintenance Man. This story about
betrayal, manipulation and abuse has been optioned for a feature film. Scott
Sternberg is executive producer. Tracy Mazuer is Co-Executive Producer. Kathy
Giaconia and Jacquie Jordan are Supervising Producers. The series is directed by
Barry Glazer.
