Bethel, CT--Remember Grandma's old rocking chair and how she sat in it hour after hour? She knew a secret that many in our hurried world have forgotten--rocking chairs are comfortable and relaxing.

Chasley Products, a Connecticut furniture design firm, recently introduced a new twist on rocking chair design: the SwingChair. The new patented design swings not only back and forth but in all directions, even in circles.

The SwingChair is the creation of 86 year-old retired stock broker Charles P. Regensburg. "This was my first attempt at furniture design," he said. "It's rewarding to see the design catching on with the public while bringing back the pleasure of rocking chairs."

Many find that a good rocking chair relieves back pain. Regensburg notes that President John F. Kennedy had very severe spine problems and never traveled without one of his rocking chairs.

The SwingChair is constructed of furniture grade PVC allowing it to be enjoyed both indoors and outdoors. "It is virtually impervious to the elements," Regensburg noted pointing out that the chair is waterproof and rustproof. "Use them on your yacht. Yachts rock, you won't!"

The color is white. They come in both adult and children sizes.
