Granite Development Corporation (GRAD) is pleased to announce the appointment
of Mr. George Birmingham as Chairman of the Board, effective as of May 1, 1998.
Mr. Birmingham is a prominent San Francisco contractor and expert in the
retrofit of both masonry buildings and bridges.
The appointment of Mr. Birmingham completes our search for an effective and
outstanding management team. Mr. Birmingham’s engineering expertise will allow
the Company to move forward on only the most potentially profitable projects. It
is Management’s intention to acquire properties and develop those properties
through the permit and planning stage then sell those properties to developers
for final completion. It is Management’s belief that each property acquired
could be developed, then sold within a short time period, generating significant
revenues for the Company.
