KETCHUM, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 12, 1998--Aqua Vie Beverage Corporation (OTC:AVBC - news), announced today that it has retained Mark E. Hosier as Quality Assurance consultant to assist in the production of Aqua Vie's new ``Hydrator(TM)'' product line.

Mr. Hosier has over 20 years experience in the beverage industry. Most recently he has served as a consultant to several beverage companies. He also served as Vice President of Quality Assurance for Aqua Vie Beverage Corporation from 1992 until early 1995. Prior to that, Mr. Hosier was with Original New York Seltzer, and Shasta Beverages.

In commenting on the announcement, Tom Gillespie, founder of Aqua Vie Beverage Corporation, said, ``Mark was instrumental in the formulation and production of the original Aqua Vie Beverage product lines, as well as the new 'all natural', low calorie Aqua Vie Beverage products. He will be a valuable addition to the team that is being assembled to commence the production of Aqua Vie's products.''

According to Mr. Hosier, ``At Aqua Vie, we spent a great deal of time and effort creating, and fine tuning the Aqua Vie products. And like Tom, I would personally enjoy taking part in helping to see that these beverages can now finally get into production.''

The Hydrator(TM) products are Aqua Vie's long awaited, ``all natural'' beverages, which are designed to naturally increase the personal consumption of spring water. The underlying technology will also serve as the new delivery system for Aqua Vie's ``nutritionally fortified'' E Line(TM), nutritionally specific Aquaceuticals(TM), and non-alcoholic wine beverages made from spring water.

Statements in this news release that are not historical are to be regarded as forward-looking statements which are subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ materially.
